Grand Central Art Center

Our Partnership

John D. Spiak, Director and Chief Curator of Grand Central Art Center, is a founding board member of Community Engagement.  Spiak was instrumental in the development of our social practice art initiative "Creatives-in-Residence".  In mid-2014, GCAC incubated our program by providing vital administrative and supportive services to our pilot program in Santa Ana and Phoenix, AZ.  After a successful first year, together we chose to found a new nonprofit organization to further develop socially engaged arts in underrepresented and marginalized communities.

Today, Grand Central Art Center is home to our Creatives working in Santa Ana.  GCAC also provides our Creatives with studio space to further develop their art practice.

Thank you GCAC for being our very first partner and for your continued support!
